On February 14th, Tuesday, from 1pm to 3pm,  Newfane local and author Castle Freeman will read excerpts from several of his entertaining Vermont tales written over the years.

Castle is the award-winning author of the acclaimed novel Go With Me, which was made into a major motion picture in 2016, as well as the writer of numerous other novels (most recently “The Devil in the Valley”), short stories, and essays.

Castle found his muse when he moved to Vermont:  “Practically all the writing I have done—fiction, essays, history, journalism, and more—has been in one way or another about rural northern New England, in particular the State of Vermont, and the lives of its inhabitants, a source of unique and undiminishing interest, at least to me.”
