Did you know that Moore Free Library has only one paid (part-time) employee? How can we put on so much programming, keep the books and DVDs fresh, and organize a monthly art exhibit?

We are able to do all that we do thanks to the help of our very active trustees, friends, and volunteers, and we’d love to have more community members join as volunteers or Friends (or both!).

Some volunteer opportunities include  helping with publicity (putting up and taking down posters and monthly event calendars in local businesses), helping with the book sale, putting books away weekly, setting up and breaking down for special events, and staffing movie nights.

The Friends of the Library is an all-volunteer group that raises funds for special library projects. There is no monetary obligation to be a Friend or a volunteer.

Would you like to learn more about the library? Would you like to know how you can help the library? Would you like a cup of coffee?

Come to a coffee social anytime on Saturday, April 13th between the hours of 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM and meet some of the volunteers and Friends. This is part of National Library Week.

The Friends group will have their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, April 17th from noon to 1:00 and all are welcome to attend. There is no monetary obligation for being a Friend!
