Jackson Ellis, Vermont native and author of the novel Lords of St. Thomas will give a reading from his book on December 1st at 11:00 AM.
The book was awarded the 2017 Howard Frank Mosher First Novel Prize, and is published by Brattleboro-based Green Writers Press. The book tells the dramatic story of the beleaguered Lord family, forced off their land by the creation of Lake Mead. At the heart of the book are the patriarch Henry Lord, who refuses to leave his doomed home, and town, and his young grandson and namesake.
